This sterling silver serving fork is ideal for fish dishes. The fish-serving fork can be used in combination with a fish-serving knife to easily lift the fillets. Marly, named after a now-demolished pleasure palace built by Louis XIV on the outskirts of Paris, has been one of the most detailed and richly decorated motifs in the Christofle catalog since its creation in 1897. Its refined engraving is an exquisite example of the Rocaille style, featuring asymmetrical motifs of climbing plants and seashells.
Marly is elaborate with asymmetrical plant motifs, which highlight the silversmith’s talents.
Having become famous, Maison Christofle was solicited by foreign sovereigns such as Emperor Maximilian of Mexico, the Tsar of Russia, Germany of the Kaiser, the Austro-Hungarian Empire and Sultan Abdulaziz of the Ottoman Empire.
