Water Glasses

Water glasses are generally identifiable by certain distinctive features. Their shape is often simpler and their size larger than wine glasses, allowing for a greater amount of water. The rims of water glasses are often straighter and less tapered compared to wine glasses, which tend to have a more flared rim. Additionally, water glasses often have a thicker wall, distinguishing them from wine glasses designed to enhance aromas.

When setting a table, position the water glass at the top right of the plate, approximately 3 centimeters away, in accordance with the classic layout of cutlery and glasses. Ensure that the water glass is aligned with the other stemmed glasses, creating a balanced and aesthetic presentation. If using both water and wine glasses, arrange them to form a diagonal line ascending from left to right across the table. Adapt the arrangement based on the style of service, placing the water glass near the upper end of the plate, for example, for English service. In general, ensure that the water glass is easily accessible to guests and does not hinder the handling of other utensils during dining.

Crystal glasses excel with their elegant appearance, exceptional clarity, and delicate yet durable construction. The thinness maintains ideal beverage temperatures, while the lead content provides a smoother rim and pleasant clinking sound. Their beauty and refinement elevate any occasion, making them a great choice for enhancing the drinking experience.

Crystal glasses are priced higher due to costlier raw materials, skilled craftsmanship, and specialized production processes. Their unique properties, association with luxury, and limited availability further drive the premium pricing, appealing to those seeking refined and elegant drinking experiences.

Cleaning crystal glasses requires some precautions to avoid damage. It is recommended to wash crystal glasses by hand rather than using a dishwasher. Use warm water and a mild detergent. Avoid extreme temperatures and harsh chemicals. After washing, dry the crystal glasses with a soft, lint-free cloth to prevent water spots or scratches.
