STEEL:
Simply wipe with a slightly damp soft cloth or the soft side of a sponge, to bring back the shine.
Your cup and straw can be cleaned by hand or in the dishwasher. First remove the leather ring around the cup.
- Cleaning by hand: after each use, rinse the cup and straw to avoid any deposits inside. If there are any deposits, clean using something non-abrasive. Wash in lukewarm water with a mild dishwashing detergent and dry immediately with a soft cloth.
- Cleaning in a dishwasher: use only chlorine and sulphur-free detergent powders, avoid using liquids, gels or tablets. Do not use lemon detergent. As soon as the cycle ends, open the door slightly to avoid condensation marks and dry your cutlery with a soft cloth.
LEATHER:
Calfskin leather is a natural material that may have some natural imperfections. These are completely normal and reflect the authenticity of the leather.
Recommendations:
- Do not get the leather wet. Remove the leather ring from around the cup when rinsing.
- Do not expose leather to direct sunlight or to sources of heat.
- Do not use solvent-based stain removers such as turpentine or benzine, nor shoe creams or floor waxes.
- Before using any cleaning product suitable for leather, test it on an inconspicuous area. Do not apply directly to the leather; use a cloth.
- Oily stains: leather generally absorbs oily stains without leaving a trace. If any trace remains, remove it with a stain remover. Fresh, visible stains should be dabbed immediately with a cloth and then wiped dry with a paper towel.
- Alcohol stains: wipe immediately with a slightly damp cloth.
- Scratches: use a hand cream with a glycerine content of at least 5%.
- Pen marks: remove immediately using a stain remover.
- Heavily soiled areas: first use a special leather cleaning-foam. If the marks persist, use a stain remover.
