This set is composed of 2 Filets Gravés Napkin Rings.

Filets Gravés Oval Napkin Rings model has been created by Christofle in the 1970s. This piece shows a purification of the ornamentation by the use of simple fillets marking the upper part of the object.

The napkin ring appeared in France in the 19th century. It became inevitable to identify the owner of the napkin, which became individual. Elegant and refined, the napkin ring became over time a real social marker of belonging to a circle. The expression "to have one's napkin ring there" means to have one's own entrance somewhere.

The pieces in the Christofle Vintage Collection are second-hand pieces selected and authenticated by Christofle. They are pieces in good condition and restored in our workshops in Yainville (Normandy)... More information
