This "Maïs" vase was designed by Christofle in 1921 for the Gallia collection in the Art Deco style. The narrow, slender shape of the vase corresponds to the floral, country theme of its decoration. This correspondence between form and decoration is a constant in Art Nouveau creations, which draw their inspiration from the richness and diversity of nature.
