A four-lobed water jug, known as "Normand", designed by Christian Fjerdingstad in 1926, following the Exhibition of 1925 that lent its name and artistic impetus to the new Art Deco style.
Having become famous, Maison Christofle was solicited by foreign sovereigns such as Emperor Maximilian of Mexico, the Tsar of Russia, Germany of the Kaiser, the Austro-Hungarian Empire and Sultan Abdulaziz of the Ottoman Empire.
