The silver-plated serving spoon in the Perles pattern was designed specifically to serve salad in conjunction with the serving fork while minimizing damage to the leaves.

 

The Louis XVI-style Perles pattern, which features a single delicate line of beading reminiscent of a classic pearl necklace, was introduced in 1876.
