Sterling silver Eyeglass holder long necklace from the Pompon collection. The Collection honors a motif that has a special place in the history of costume, decoration and, more broadly, the decorative arts: the pompon.

They are created on a byzantine chain, also called royal mesh or Peruvian mesh, "Birdcage" or "Dilemma of the Fool" depending on the continent and the time. This flexible chain consists of a geometric tangle of rings strung together in a precise and complex pattern. The ends of the Byzantine chains are adorned with graceful tassels themselves made of fine Venetian chains. An elegant accessory in sterling silver to wear your glasses. Thought as an adjustable necklace thanks to a sliding element, it is equipped with a ring to slide your glasses.

The Christofle company has created a collection of jewelry based on this particular motif. This object of trimmings has been found throughout the centuries adorning the most luxurious garments or the most beautiful pieces of historical furniture, sometimes shining with gold or silver threads.
